1. How much will it cost?
That depends: each client comes to us with very different needs and requires individualized attention and services. If you simply need a faux finish or decorative painting services, the cost will depend on the size of the room, the complexity or number of layers involved in the finish, the supplies necessary, and the amount of time it will take to apply them. Design services and products are calculated separately and are also determined by the complexity of the job requirements.
2. Can you be here to install next week?
Probably not. Typically, Eglantine House is booked out eight weeks in advance, although there is time in each week scheduled for meetings with current and new clients to discuss projects and present proposals. In the event of a cancellation, we will call our scheduled clients and offer to move up their appointments. On rare occasions, we can accommodate rush jobs for an additional fee.
3. Where do you work?
Pleasure happens everywhere, and wherever pleasure is, it needs good design!
4. Do you have a policy on privacy?
Absolutely. Your privacy and confidence are our biggest concerns. Helping you design and create your intimate spaces requires a relationship built on trust. That relationship starts with your initial phone call or e-mail, and we will keep all contact and communication from that point on confidential whether you chose to use our services or not.
We never share or sell your name, email, or contact information with any other company or entity.
5. What can a designer do for me?
We help you in variety of ways: we hunt down hard-to-find pieces of furniture; we educate you about your various options in every aspect of design from choosing a discrete contractor, to picking colors, and choosing products; we help you understand how you might integrate those items into your environment, use them, and care for them.
We can also act as a buffer between you and potentially embarrassing situations. Once you’ve chosen a contractor, you can defer all delicate questions and instructions to us. Instead of going to a hardware store and trying to ask for advice on suspension supports or if you need a ground-fault interrupt for your electrical needs, we do that for you. We are dedicated to helping our clients achieve their fantasy interior, and we are glad to ask difficult questions on their behalf.
